Terms and Conditions
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of melhq.co (the "Site") and the MEL membership, community, live sessions, replays and resources (together, the "Services") offered by MEL (Marketing Ecosystem Lounge), a brand of Sand & Pine Creative, LLC, founded by Amy Carlson ("MEL," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or joining a membership, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to join MEL. By joining, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.
2. Memberships
MEL offers two memberships: The Oasis and The Canopy. Each includes the benefits described on the Site at the time you join. Membership is personal to you and may not be shared, transferred or resold. We may update the content, schedule, guest experts and features of the Services over time.
3. Billing and renewal
Memberships are available on monthly, biannual and annual billing terms. Prices are shown on the Site and at checkout. Checkout and billing are handled through Circle and its payment processors.
Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing term at the then-current rate, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. You authorize us and our payment processors to charge that payment method on each renewal date. We will give advance notice of any price change, and it will take effect at your next renewal.
If a payment fails, we may pause or end your access until it is resolved. Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms.
4. Discovery calls
Calls booked through the Site carry a call fee. If you join a membership within 14 days of your call, the fee is applied as a credit toward your first month. Call fees are non-refundable. To cancel or reschedule, please give at least 48 hours' notice. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.
5. Community guidelines
MEL is built to be a supportive, respectful space. When you take part, you agree not to:
- Harass, insult, discriminate against or threaten anyone
- Post spam, unsolicited promotions, affiliate links or sales pitches outside spaces meant for them
- Share other members' posts, personal information or session content outside the community without permission
- Post anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights
- Try to disrupt, hack or misuse the Services
We may remove content and suspend or end any membership that breaks these guidelines, without a refund.
6. Intellectual property
All content in the Services, including trainings, recordings, curriculum, the four ecosystems framework, templates, tools, graphics, logos and the MEL name, is owned by MEL or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Your membership gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use this content for your own business while your membership is active. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, record or publicly share it.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting in the community, you give MEL a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content inside the Services.
Testimonials and results in marketing. We may share member results, transformations, wins or comments outside the community, such as on our website, social media or emails, only anonymously, with your name and identifying details removed, or with your written consent if you can be identified. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, and we will stop using it in new marketing.
Workshop recordings. Workshops are recorded and shared with members as replays. Turning on your camera or microphone is optional. If you choose to, you agree that your image, voice and name may appear in the recording shared inside the Services.
8. Guest experts and third-party services
Guest experts share their own views, which may not reflect MEL's. The Services rely on third-party platforms such as Circle, Google and video tools. We are not responsible for their availability or practices.
9. No guarantees
MEL is educational. Results depend on many factors outside our control, and we do not guarantee any specific outcome, income or business result. See our Disclaimer for more.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sand & Pine Creative, LLC, MEL and Amy Carlson will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Sand & Pine Creative, LLC, MEL and Amy Carlson from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
13. Ending your membership
You may cancel at any time as described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, will survive after your membership ends.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify active members by email or inside the community. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
16. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and Sand & Pine Creative, LLC about the Services.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@melhq.co or by mail to Sand & Pine Creative, LLC, PO Box 42, Montesano, WA 98563.
